Channel D Solutions, Inc., announces FCC and Industry Canada certification for the DAS-900 distributed antenna system for use with the Tempest900 wireless intercom. In keeping with the tradition of cutting-edge solutions, the DAS-900 is the designation for the 2U rack-mount unit which features an RP-TNC input for direct connection to a single Tempest900 BaseStation. Providing 8 antenna outputs, the DAS-900 increases the coverage area and range necessary for the most demanding environments and installations. The DAS-900 features a proprietary circuit design that improves the performance of the reception of transmissions from the CP-922A and CP-944A BeltStations back to the BaseStation.

Host Module Interface:
For installations that require more than a single Tempest900 BaseStation, the Host Module Interface (HMI) is also introduced. The HMI is available in configurations to support up to 4 Tempest900 BaseStations in all modes of operation. The HMI is standard in all configurations as a 1 RU unit, to be co-located with the DAS-900. As the HMI is a passive device, no regulatory certification is required.
